About Course

The Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Healthcare Management and Practice) is designed for learners who want to develop their knowledge of health and social care while building skills relevant to professional practice, management and continued academic development.

The qualification covers academic study skills, communication within Health and Social Care, healthcare policy, reflective practice, managing people, and sociology concepts relating to health and ill health. It encourages learners to develop critical thinking, effective communication, self-reflection and an understanding of how health and social care services operate.

The qualification consists of six mandatory units, with each unit carrying 20 credits, giving a total of 120 credits. Each unit includes 100 Guided Learning Hours.

Study completely online, at your own pace.

Duration: Complete the qualification in as little as 6 months. Learners have access to the online learning platform for up to 12 months from enrolment.

Assessment is completed through assignments for each unit. Learners receive assessment feedback and may be able to resubmit work where further evidence is required.

Successful completion can support progression into health and social care employment, further professional development and higher-level study.
