About Course

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a recognised qualification designed for individuals who want to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed for teaching, training, and supporting learners. It provides a strong foundation in teaching responsibilities, inclusive learning approaches, learner assessment, communication, and effective teaching practice.

This qualification is suitable for aspiring teachers, trainers, tutors, workplace instructors, assessors, and professionals who want to gain a formal teaching qualification. It is also appropriate for individuals who are considering a career change into education and training or those who already deliver training and want to strengthen their professional skills.

Learners will explore the roles and responsibilities of teachers and trainers, equality and inclusion in education, different teaching and learning approaches, learner needs, assessment methods, and effective feedback. The qualification also develops transferable communication, planning, evaluation, and learner-support skills that can be applied across educational and workplace environments.

The course can be completed online and self-paced over 6 months to 1 year, giving learners flexibility to study around work and other commitments. Learners receive access to the online learning platform for up to 12 months from enrolment.

The qualification carries 12 credits and includes three mandatory units covering roles and responsibilities in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning, and assessment in education and training.
