About Course

The Level 5 Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare is an Ofqual-regulated qualification designed for professionals who want to develop advanced knowledge and skills in early childhood education and care. It covers key areas including children’s care, well-being and resilience, positive behaviour, child development, communication, safeguarding, and early years practice.

The qualification is delivered 100% online and self-paced, allowing learners to study flexibly. The course takes 6 to 12 months to complete, with learning platform access available for up to 12 months from enrolment. Learners must also complete 100 hours of teaching practice.

The qualification requires a minimum of 120 credits and is designed to support career development in early years education and childcare, including roles such as manager, deputy manager, supervisor, or leader.
